These terms explain how ordering from Sikam Furniture works. By placing an order with us, on this website, on WhatsApp, by phone or at our workshop in Lower Kabete, you agree to them. If anything is unclear, ask us on WhatsApp 0714 079 848 before you pay.
1. About us
Sikam Furniture makes custom furniture in our workshop near Kamutiini Stage, Lower Kabete, Nairobi. We are open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 7pm.
2. Made-to-order furniture
- Every piece is made to order in the size, fabric or wood finish and colour you choose.
- Photos on our website and social media show examples. Because each piece is handmade, small differences in colour, fabric texture and wood grain are normal.
- Before we start, we confirm the design, size, colour and final price with you. Please check these details carefully, as changes after production starts may not be possible or may cost extra.
3. Prices
- Prices on our website are in Kenya Shillings (KSh) and are for the standard size shown.
- Custom sizes, special fabrics or extra features can change the price. We always confirm the final price before you pay anything.
- Prices can change from time to time. The price we confirm with you for your order is the price you pay.
4. Payment
- Deposit: we start making your furniture once we receive a 50% deposit. You pay the balance when your furniture is ready, before delivery.
- Lipa pole pole (instalments): you can spread the cost over up to 4 months by M-Pesa. We make and deliver your furniture once it is fully paid.
- We accept M-Pesa, cash and card. Only pay to the M-Pesa details we share with you directly from our official number, 0714 079 848.
5. Production time
Most orders are ready in 7 to 14 working days after your deposit. Large or detailed pieces can take longer, and we will give you an expected date when you order. We will tell you as soon as possible if there is a delay.
6. Delivery
- Delivery within Nairobi is free on orders above KSh 50,000. Smaller orders pay a delivery fee of about KSh 2,000, depending on your area.
- We deliver outside Nairobi at an extra fee based on distance, which we confirm with your quote.
- Please make sure the furniture fits through your doors, stairs and lifts. Send us measurements if you are unsure, and we will advise you before production.
- Please check your furniture when it arrives and tell our team about any problem straight away.
7. Returns, defects and damage
Because each piece is made specially for you, we cannot accept returns for a change of mind once production has started. If your furniture has a manufacturing defect or was damaged during delivery, contact us within 3 days of delivery with photos and we will arrange a repair, replacement or another fair solution. 8. Offers and discount codes
Offers and discount codes are valid only for the period and products stated, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be combined unless we say so.
9. Your information
We use your name, phone number and address only to process and deliver your order and to contact you about it. See our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order.
